My name is Ann Best. I’m an interior designer in the Asheville area of North Carolina.

I’ve been fascinated with design since I was a child. I remember raking the leaves in our yard into floor plans when I was about 9 years old. Strange, right? 

It’s probably my mom’s fault. She had two houses built during my childhood and was always dragging me and my siblings to various home improvement stores to look at wallpaper or cabinets. I was continually immersed in the world of design.

So, it seemed perfectly natural while at Louisiana Tech University to study interior design and start dabbling in some real-life projects…

·       Creating a floor plan for my sister’s home

·       Building and designing a rental cabin in the woods

·       Building and designing my own home

But I’m not dabbling anymore…

Today, I have years of experience behind me in creating beautiful spaces for both home renovation and new construction projects. I’ve done kitchen and bathroom remodels… transformed dated master suites into sanctuaries… and completely changed layout for better function and flow.

I especially love working with “eyesores” – the homes that are the worst ones on the block. There’s just something so satisfying about turning the ugly duckling into a gorgeous swan.
